10 Questions Every Leader Should Ask

I came across this blog at swerve.lifechurch.tv it's by Craig Groeschel. It's to amazing not to post. These questions really challenged me, I would love to hear your comments on this.

10 Questions Every Leader Should Ask

During this series, we’ll look at ten questions each leader should ask in several different areas of life.

Today we’ll examine some questions that surround our Relationship with Christ.

    1. What did I learn in God’s word this week?
    2. Is my burden for prayer growing or diminishing?
    3. Does my heart break for the things that break the heart of God?
    4. Have I grown accustomed to or accepted sin in my life?
    5. Am I doing ministry out of an overflow of God’s work in my heart or out of my own strength?
    6. Has my teaching and ministry deepened, changed, or evolved in a positive way in the last year?
    7. Do I have a sincere peace that I’m living an authentic life of spiritual integrity?
    8. Is my heart growing larger for people and God or is it shrinking?
    9. Am I closer to God today than I was a year ago?
    10. Do others comment that they can clearly see evidence of God’s work in my life?

Which of these resonate with you? What else would you ask?

    Either Way

Today is Friday... It's not good Friday, we'll the Easter Good Friday, but today is a good day...?

Each day we wake up we get an opportunity to make decisions:

    • Good day - bad day
    • happy - sad
    • nice - naughty
    • kind - not kind
You get my drift... You have an opportunity today, what choice will you choose.

Do you have margin in your life to be able to do things for other people.

Do you have margin in your life to be able to serve at church? Do you serve? Why or Why not...

What has God done for you, what have you done for God...

There will be opportunities today to help someone out, will you do it?

    Either way it's your choice...

    Do you Really?

How's your heart? What moves it... I don't mean cardio wise, and blood flow...

But what moves you into action? What makes you want to see your friends and family who do not know Christ get to know Christ.

Do you really want to lead people to become fully devoted followers of Christ? If so, it's not easy. If so, it means action, if so it means taking time for others.

If so it means you take the focus off of yourself and off of the same old inward looking selfish motives and you start applying your mind and heart to outward thinking and action.

One of the scariest prayers you can pray is to ask God to "use you" to actually use you. If you pray for God to use you... He will... and it won't always be fun. It will be uncomfortable, it can be scary. But to see your friends and family come to know Christ and have a life changing relationship with the God who gave it all for us... To me it's worth all the anxiety and fear that may be on our journey known as life.

    Busy with the Right Things

Busyness... There are times in my life that seem to be hectic, and some that seem to be relaxed. For the next 4 months I for see my life being on the up and up.

I really believe there are seasons that God calls into overdrive ministry and some seasons where he says... Take a breather.

The one thing I want to keep on the front of my mind through this busy season is that I am called to Love and Lead my family.

It's amazing how fast Amelia is growing, it's amazing how much has changed and will change once Stephanie's back goes in to surgery... Please be praying for them...

Family and Friends are very important, they are always there for you. So remember no matter how busy life seems to be, make time for friends and family.

    Not an Easy Walk

Relevant | Creative | Real | what does it take to be sold out for Christ?

Do you ever wonder if we need to be all things to all people? If so, what does that look like?

Do you seek to understand other people... Or do you live out different lifestyles?

Personally for me, I have found that it's a head and heart knowledge you must have. It's not everyday that you will lead someone in a salvation message prayer... But it is everyday that you have the opportunity to be a vessel to spread God's love to other people. Let it be your family, let it be your friends, let it be your neighbors.

If you are a Christ follower, it's not an easy task, He calls us to pick up and carry our cross if we are to follow Him. That's scary, that's hard, that's "different" compared to the worlds standards. But who's standards are you living by... The world's or God's...

Remember God wants to use you to reach others.

    "If not you, then who?"

    Mark of Maturity

What do you do when you know you're tired... and hurt someone... When your angry, when you know your wrong? Or you just treated someone unfairly?

Have you ever argued with a spouse or friend... How long does it take you to come around, to apologize, to change the situation?

That lag time between knowing and doing measures your spiritual maturity. What is yours on a scale of 1-3...

    Easter

This Sunday is a remarkable day. The day Jesus rose from the dead. That's weird. To think of the significance of that. The amazing thing is. He did it for us, he came, lived, died and rose from the dead. All of this was for us. He paved away for us to be in relationship with God. It's a gift, a free gift. It's our decision on what to do with that... God is good, not just some of the time but all of the time.

    Happy Easter
